Dare 14: It starts with you

Hey sons and daughters of the King!

Before I tell you today’s dare I want to tell you a couple of things first. God has been showing me lately so many things. One of those things is that we can’t best help and take care of someone else unless we are taking care of ourselves too. If we aren’t feeding ourselves how can we feed someone else? If we aren’t growing closer to God how can we help someone else grow closer to God? If we haven’t been through hard things how can we help someone else through the fire? How can we tell someone to find their worth in Christ if we can’t seem to do that ourselves? Words are cheap. The way we live our life speaks so much louder than our words. If I hear someone say my life will be better if I spend more time praying but the person who told me that never prayers how can I believe them? Be the change you want to see in the world. Be a light. Be the one who follows God when no one else is. And that my friends is todays dare. Now go change the world!

Dare 3. Something helpful

Hey priceless, beautiful people!

Today’s dare isn’t something you say but rather something you do. Encouraging words are amazing and uplifting but putting words into actions is just as important.

So today I dare you to help someone. This could be anywhere from helping an old lady you see at a store to doing a chore at home no one asked you to do. There’s so many ways to help people. You could help your sibling with home work, pay for the person behind you lunch, help out your mom by cleaning the kitchen or make a nice dinner for your family. The possibilities are endless. Whatever you end up doing be sure you do it with the right heart. If you don’t want to help the person can always tell. Do it because you care about that person. Helping someone by doing work might not always be fun but seeing how much the person you helped appreciated the work will. Even if they don’t notice what you did God did and he’s proud of you.

“Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” – Matthew 6:4

Have a blessed week everyone.

One more quick note: I apologize the First Tuesday blog didn’t come out last week. I wasn’t feeling well so I decided to do it this Tuesday instead. So look out that for tomorrow. After that they will always be posted on the first Tuesday of every month. As always thanks for reading! Now go change the world.
